I am trying to find a reputable place that could make me a Manual Transmission Flywheel for a 2.4L Turbo motor that would be the same thickness as the Jeep Liberty Dual Mass flywheel but would accept the 2.2L Turbo II Clutch. That is the only piece to the puzzle that I need to bring together a PT Cruiser Turbo 2.4L motor in front of the Jeep Liberty Bellhousing on an AX15 5spd using a 2.2L TII clutch. That Dual Mass Flywheel is too weak I fear to handle the 200HP let alone if I increased the boost. So I am looking to have a custom flywheel made but don't seem to find any good reputable outfits while doing some Google research? Any suggestions??

The reason I am using an AX15 is I have one already and I want to see what it will handle. I hear lots of things about the tranny but want to find out on my own if it will hold up or not. My own R&D if you will...

Thanks, Shrk2thgrl

How much more thickness do you need? Can you use a shim between the flywheel and crank?

Also the Liberty Flywheel is larger in diameter than the 2.2. So even if a spacer were to be used it would be in the bell housing to far as to far away from the starter wheel. I think just making a custom flywheel is the only way to make this happen??

Could you use a auto flexplate and a neon or SRT4 modular type clutch? If that would work it may be your cheapest option. Tons of clutch options too.
