not quite sure what to call it but it's the gray (fiberglass?) part that the front nose cover attaches to and supports the nose as well as holds the headlights. anyhow, mine is completely broken in two right in the middle. should i use a special 2 part epoxy to repair it or will just applying fiberglass patches/glue work. i am planning on screwing on a narrow aluminum strap for additional support. if an epoxy - which one?

years N years ago I straightened out a 5 litre mustang scoop I wanted to use
it was folded in half , front to back when I got it

one of the most usefull things I could have found to use for braceing while repairing it was simple I beam style curtain rod

it's easy to drill holes through and it holds a shape if bent to one , within reason

you can use it to brace the piece by useing both the mounting studs where it would attach to the fenders as well as simply running screws into it that will have the holes filled after

once braced , grind out the split areas and fill with short strand fiberglass filler

don't try to push to much of the splintered stuff back together - the more of it you can remove the stronger the repair will be

remember you don't halve to grind it out all in the first go either
you can use the splintered area at the break to help support your shape as you repair it

and to get a strong bond grind the splits on an angle on both sides so the fiberglass filler has a good grip on a larger cross section
