Been thinking about new wheels for my white Spirit R/T. I have the original 15" snowflakes (which are aged/terrible right now) and also some 16" pumpers that I have considered having powder coated white. I have the new engine built and piles of boxes of new parts because it's been sitting since I bought it back in '08. Big project for '17 I guess.

I'm sure it's been done/tried, but I've been looking at 16x8 wheels. I have 17x7 on my SL currently and I really like them. I tried 18"s but they just did not look right *at all* so I sold them.

I'm pretty sure I can get a 16x8 to fit on my Spirit R/T. The offset of the wheels I want are +20 or +25 though. I think I might actually like the look, but I'm a little apprehensive about buying and trying myself. I mean sure I would like a little bit of stance of but nothing crazy. I like the deep lip of these wheels, but it won't have some ridiculous camber or anything. The Spirit R/T will also be sporting some new Eibach springs.

This is just an example of what I'm talking about. Feel free to post your opinions.

Check tire options first before buying the wheels. That was the number 1 reason why I stayed with 15x7 instead of finding 15x8.

Are you up for rolling the fenders depending on tire size? The RPF1s in the 16x8 would be very close on a Shadow. If I was up for rolling fenders on the CSX I would have been disappointed that I didn't go with the 16x8s rather than the 16x7s.

Gads, not much out there. I searched TireRack for a 245/45/16 but the only 'street' tire came back as a Toyo Proxes T1R. Not my first choice obviously. The other tires are competition tires and it gets expensive fast.

The 245/45/16 is 24.6" diameter which is very close to the stock 205/60/15 24.7".

ehhh.

I have 225/45r16s on the CSX and they're pretty nice on the 7" wheel. I think they would be ideal on the 8" wheel.

one day for no reason other than being bored of finding wheels that have spokes that look like various combinations of sticks , I googled torquethrust wheels for dodge neon

up poped a set of 16x7's , 5 spoke , correct bolt pattern and offset

I too am possibly looking for 16x8's to put on my GLH, and I was looking for the offset as well in order to bring the wheel even with the fender flares on the Omni. I love wheels with a decent lip on them but I don't like the style of the mesh wheel you linked to. Just reminds me of fencing wire in my old neighborhood..
I love the look of the XXR 521's. You can get them in 5x100 and 16x8 with a 20mm offset. http://www.ebay.com/itm/XXR-521-16x8-5-100-5-114-3-20-Hyper-Silver-Wheel-/331969023000

I know 17x8 +35mm on an L body rub with no camber a very little under load with about -1.25* of camber. 20-25 to me would stick too far out and I think would rub somewhere, whether fender or the transmission or the seam behind the wheels on the front. My overall tire/wheel diameter combo is within +.1" of stock.
