Hey turbovanman, How much do you need for the set-up and can you send a picture. I am new to the T/D scene ( a few months) but I have been restoring my 85 Dodge Shelby Charger since January of this year, Everything I've read says s-can the 525 so I got a 523 with 87000 on it last week for a hundred. was this a reasonable price?
Anyway, this trans has the cable brackets on it already, so besides the axles can you think of anything else I might need?
I have purchased alot of stuff from jaysshelby if you need a reference.
Thanks,jeff1234

$100 is very reasonable.

The trans mount, your stocker may or may not work, a different Bobble strut, the stock Omni dog bone won't work. You might be able to space the new one over or just weld anther mount on the K-member. I can post pics in a few days.
Hows $75 for the cables and shifter. Thats $25 each, :eyebrows: or throw me an offer.

Simon, don't want to piss on your sale, but the 87 Daytona cables and shifter won't fit a 523, the cable ends are different and the 523 uses a different shifter than the 555 due to reverse being up and to the right of 5th.

Jeff, where in WI are you at? I'm in IL just south of the border and I do have a set of cables and shifter in a 91 Sundance, they will need new bushings put in them ($25 from most vendors) but otherwise should work fine for you. Not trying to steal Simon's deal, just want to see you get the right parts.

Ok, thanks Dave, I always get them mixed up. Sorry Jeff, can't help you, :(

actually, reverse should be below 5th on the 523/543/568 and to the left of 1st on the older 520/555!

I have the shifter but don't think I have cables.
