I have these type of mirrors on my truck. If you have bought something that works to extend out father so you can see around a camper or trailer.....what worked?

we always had a set of the camper mirrors that clamped to the fender above the wheel wells

two arms hook onto the edge of the fender at the hood and one hooked to the top of the wheel well lip

a turnbuckle tightens them up

with the coated ends they never did any damage to any of my father's cars that had them put on

I highly recomend e trailer's customer service help line

I bought my edge tuner from them along with the mounting pod
the pod turned out to be for the newer style truck than mine but the part listing and pt number said it fit my truck in edge's catalog

they managed to get me the correct one even with the wrong listing in edge's book - which may even have been updated as per my issue

nice rig btw

I want a pop up slide in for my truck - save the trailer hitch for the toys

Don't think I have ever seen this before, maybe a terrible Idea...but to me sit seems like it would work.
Not attaching a mirror to the truck, but to the camper. So it is there when you load it and stays with the camper when it is un-loaded.
My bad drawing to show where the bracket and mirror might go.

reminds me of the mirrors on a '29 model A ford truck

not a bad idea if it clears the door when it opens

as for the mirror mounted extensions , maybe , I'd find a simular sized mirror and a helper to hold it beside the existing mirror so maybe you can see if they should work for you

That seems like a great idea. The fancy Prevost buses mount their mirrors up high like that. I'm sure cyclists would appreciate that mounting position.

This document says high mount mirrors need to be larger than ones in the regular spot.
