there are 2 circut boards in those clusters

collecting the clusters is a good idea - aside from finding one to replace your's

my first 87-9 digital cluster was made from two that did not work but the correct combination of the two circut boards gave me a working cluster .. for free because I had two bum ones to start with that cost nothing as they didn't actually work

same could go for keeping them in repair with the spares collected in future

Not only do I claim to have them I actually do, however I have no way to test them. Unless plugging them into my 110 V wall outlet will work.

That way I can PROVE they don't work!!!!!

These were pulled from cars that were sleeping in wrecking yards, not running ones in somebody's driveway late at night.....so who knows maybe they are good.

I wouldn't bet $ on it.

OK went over to Harry Lui's house and tested the 5 of these that I have. All work fine!!!!!
