View Full Version : Transmission: A520

Looking for a A520 at a reasonable price. I will be using it to make a steel end bearing support plate for the A520/555. That said that trans doesn't have to be mint, but I would like it in working condition. My zip is 18071, so something close to that would be ideal. I would also be able to pick up at SDAC.

if you cant find one before SDAC LMK, I can come up with a core. Might be missing diff and intermediate shaft tho, or maybe have jack-o-lantern intermediate shaft (missing teeth) lol...

Can't remember what all I have, will take a look. Do you need only a 520?

Adam, if it helps at all i have several of those plates for the 525/520/555. let me know if you wanna use one.

Yeah missing diff is fine, but I do need the I shaft. Once I have the Proto plate done I want to test fitment, and shifting. That said the core trans needs to shift into all gears

I would also take a 555 if the price is right.

Kind of. Lol! I bought one from Greg, and he delivered it to sdac for me. Then no 15 min after I get the trans from Greg, Warren asks me if I brought any trans parts with me, because he tore his up diving to sdac. Haha! So I giving it to Warren.

So lmk know what you got.

Adam,

I GREATLY appreciate your willingness to help in "lending" me your transmission.

Once I finish rebuilding my 520/555 hybrid after the Memphis transmission debacle I am going to put together a good 520 for you to use for your mockup based off of most of the parts from the one you got from Greg.

I am planning on getting it to you at Cecil in November, or possibly I could get Pat and/or Dave to bring it to you after Hot Rod Drag week in September instead?

Warren yeah that sounds great. I just thought if someone had one it would take the pressure off you to try and get it to me. You living so far away and all.
