So I have to get my koni struts for the 86 glhs rebuilt.

Any decent struts to use while I wait?

I ordered a set of gabriels. I have been very impressed with them on the lancer. I know it's not ideal but I cant have the car sit on jack stands for six months. Plus I got the whole 4 shipped for like $84. At least I can drive the thing no matter how much they suck.

Gabriels have put up with a 1" drop in my heavy Daytona for a while now. Still holding up great.

just get the cheapest, you will only need them for a few weeks then you'll have your awesome koni's back

6 months to rebuild? They'll go out of business!

Just got a quote for $900 with a ten day turn around. Too much money right now.

$900 for rebuild of all of them? Even at that price you can buy new strut inserts and probably still come out cheaper! Geeze! So much for the advantage of being "rebuildable". :(

yea not what I was expecting by a long shot. Figured $600 but so much for that.

Wow, that's way too expensive IMO. Good luck.

so the rears are okay thank god. Super stiff in the back with lre springs. Figure I'll send one strut a month to try make this not hurt so much in the wallet.

I have found that typically when under warranty they want to rebuild them in pairs. I've had my rebuilt a few times and they always told me to send the pair regardless of whether both or one failed.

The rears are OK, so it won't be $900? I sure hope so.

more like $450.

That's not as bad, but still a lot for a rebuild IMO.

Put gabriels on the front with lre auto cross springs. Rides pretty damn nice. Have yet to send off my struts...
