View Full Version : BoostButton - hold on computers and cables

So, today I slipped on my front steps, landed on my right hand, and broke my arm.

Of course, I'm right handed. So, I won't be able to do any soldering for the next 6 weeks or so. I'll have to stop taking orders for flash able computers and cables until it's healed.

If you have an order with me already and are concerned about delivery time, please get in touch.

Maybe this will give me the chance to get some code work done...

Hyperextension injury, we're seeing huge increase in those lately in kids from HOVERBOARD crashes. You sure you weren't out riding the neighbor kid's board:lol:? It's non-displaced so likely no implants needed, if it shifts dorsally tho, they're gonna wanna pin it with a couple Kirschner Wires the simplest(and cheapest dammit:p) of all internal fixation.

Titanium? Allan will probably give you a prescription for walk it off by the looks of that one.

Seriously though, a break down there really stinks and I hope you heal up ASAP.

I don't see what the problem is. Your smaller backup arm bone seems to be intact and should function just fine! :)

But seriously, that sucks. Take it easy and get well soon.

Cast comes off on Monday. But, I'm keeping the hold on computers until I get caught up. We're also starting work on our basement, so my workbench will be moving soon. Not sure where yet...

OK, got my workbench all moved last week. I turned the cables and latch boards back on (if anyone was waiting).

Still holding new orders for computers until I get caught up on the old orders. If you have an old order with me, I will be getting them done in the next 2 weeks; first-in first-out basis.

Already placed my flash cable order :bounce: Can't wait to get a tune flashed into my black Daytona and hear it run again! Hopefully with enough time to work out the bugs and get it tagged and drive it to SDAC 26!

Rob, do you have an off the shelf 40% inj SMEC cal for a ported/big valve 2.5, TU header, hybrid turbo that will run Redbox for SDAC?

We could try the StgIV cal, but I think it would be better if I just built one for you. Do you need a socketed SMEC, too?

I'm 95% sure I have one but loaded onto a chip and shipped direct to Jacksons shop would be ideal. If it's an older socketed set up, you changed chips in the last couple years right? SO new chips fit new sockets and are not interchangeable right?

Go flashable Alan! It's pretty sweet. And the next generation MPScanDroid /MPSciLink is planned to have flashing capability.
No messing with chips or chip burners.

Pretty sure all our sockets use the sf512 chips.

That's what I have in the black v6 car, just waiting on my flash cable to come in so I can try it out.

Smec? No, a socketed SMEC is a socketed SMEC. I usually add a 32-pin socket to the SBEC's now to make them future-proof for a flash module upgrade...

Huh? :confused2: All the cals are AC compatible. Juts have to start with a cal that has AC enabled; as it's not just the flag for AC that needs to be changed...

Yes, Redbox is SMEC, it was converted by PO to an 89 Lebaron GTC motor and harness.

the last we chatted in august you said the SMEC t2 templates needed to be updated for AC. I guess it's fixed now and that is awesome.

I'm still not caught up. But, getting there. When did you expect (or want) to get it back?

ShelGame

I got a few of my old computer orders completed and am feeling pretty good soldering. So, I put that flashable SBEC and SMEC back up in the store; also the calibrated LM's. I don't have many cores on hand, but I'll be collecting more in the near future.

SCI cables are also out-of-stock. So, I'll be ordering more of those as well.

My next steps are to redesign the flash boards to use the small pitch TSSOP package chips. And, to have the boards made and assembled by a 3rd party. Should make my workload easier. Hopefully, it will also bring the price down.

Ok
I'm still not caught up. But, getting there. When did you expect (or want) to get it back? I want it when it's reasonable. Hoping I can find the ecus. I have to make sure it works too as I have one with at dead coil driver, etc etc. Not sure if I should get two made or stick with one for now.
I am still getting to doing my aem fic wiring harness so I can practice with the device before you unlock the limiter.

Found my ecus. I have 7 spares but but most have issues. I would like to send in one that has an odd misfire at 2050 rpms thinking there is a corruption.
