I am thinking about selling the G-head off of my car to go with something more radical. If I can get close to what I have into it, I will sell. I bought the head used, supposedly with low miles, and ive run it for the last two months. Its an early (81) G-head casting. Whoever did the work on this head spent a lot of time. The missing bolt hole for the A/C bracket was even drilled and TIG welded into the casting so you could bolt up the A/C in a later model car....a real nice job. It has oversized stainless valves. I had the head flowed and it flows pretty well.....its no Menegan head, but it doesnt have a large price tag either. My CSX ran a 12.60 @ 109 on 18 PSI with this head.
Flow numbers @ 28":
.100 - 53.2 / 42.4
.200 - 108.2 / 82.3
.300 - 147.4 / 109.9
.400 - 174.4 / 125.7
.500 - 180.9 / 131.1
As you can see, the flow is tapering off at .500 lift, but has nice mid range numbers, so it is great to run with a stock cam. Ive got 750 into this head and ran it for two months. I would take the best offer above 650 for it. Its not a 200+ cfm head, but that would run you 1500 dollars. Comes cleaned up with the flow sheet included.
