ok after doing some searching around I guess its not a rare thing to happen but my fuel filter/water seperator housing was leaking fue and a replacement is more than i want to spend right now.
After the searching i found a youtube vid of a guy with the same problem as me . The top cover of the housing is a rubber grommet with 2 wires coming from it and thats where the fuel was leaking from. Long story short, that is the fuel heater element wiring and grommet and there is an o-ring that goes bad. So off to haborfrieght and buy a viton o-ring kit for $12 or so pick out the closest oring and swap it out. it was a little tuff to get back together but I got it done. apparently the dealer's solution was to change the entire housing for like $1,100 ... glad I found that video :)
