I blew a freeze plug and then toasted my engine. I bought a rebuilt non-common block engine which I am running now. My engine is a rusty heap inside.

Looking to find a common block engine to rebuild or one that has been rebuilt with performance upgrades.
I am in no rush. Let me know what you have. I am in florida. Thanks

I believe your non common block had a steel crank did it not? If so, it will probably last a long time before anything happens to it (knocking on wood). Don't believe all the hype about them being so fragile. There have been plenty of very quick cars running early non-common blocks that have lasted a long time.

Good to know. Thanks. Yeah it has the forged crank , and a fm 475 cam. I was disappointed by the fact that is doesn't have the roller rockers like my common block had. Mine were not salvageable

I know there is a T2 engine that has been built w/ eagle rods and forged pistons over on the other site, the guy is asking $1200 for it and it is located in Nevada if that helps. Good luck with the hunt.

depending on the rest of the mods a cam change and roller rockers are easy.

I have a 2.5 CB for sale that would need a rebuild. Pistons and cylinder walls looks decent, it would probably be just fine but its a good idea to get it cleaned and checked to spec. Its a bit of a trip but located in NY. PM me if interested.
