Are there any known part numbers for these bad lads? I need one for my NYer, but I've found inconsistencies in what people claim the PNs are. One that I asked about on Amazon was said to be Fe while the same PN was listed on Rockauto as Al. I really want an Al unit for this and it needs to be the 24mm unit.

I bought one from work for late 80's Dodge truck and put on the Lebaron (11" vented). Has a larger bore, forget what it was exactly, 40mm maybe? Requires some adapters for the lines to hook up.

Well, this wasn't it. I thought it would have been by the ad, but I guess not. I'll try again.

The amazon link I posted was not aluminum? That sux I just bought that on May 30th and it is most definitely aluminum. Should have bought two.

I went with a different one which purported to be Al due to the black reservoir. I'm trying the one you posted next.

hold off if you have not ordered! Or cancel. I think I have made a mistake. I ordered two of these and one was aluminum but one was cast. I got the last one from oreilly auto parts. If you need one I know I can get one from there and ship it to you. It was from a 1989 caravan and is new.

I'll see what shows up. Thanks for the heads up though. At least Amazon has free returns which is why I'm going through them.

Alright, so what was the final on this? Which is the best one to go with or brand? I'm about to order one for the Lancer. Thanks in advance!

The one linked to with the white res is indeed Al. I haven't put it on the car yet, so I can't give any more feedback. It does look to be the same bore dia. as the steel one I was sent though.

I went ahead and ordered the one from Rock Auto. It was under $20 shipped, so we'll see how good it is. :-\

I have it on the car now and it will lock up the front brakes, but with the tires it has on there it's not saying much. Still a world better than the one that came off the car so I can only assume that it's the 24mm version.

I too have a nice stopping car now. One of the easiest jobs I've had to do on a car. My friend came over last week and we bled the brakes. By the time we did the first wheel, he said it was noticeably better. Almost didn't do the front two, but I had to make sure so I did all 4 wheels and man it will stop on a dime now. The pedal feels so good, effortless when stopping. The brakes probably would have been fine with the stock MC (assuming it wasn't a 24mm), but this one definitely gives a great feel to the pedal and overall control of the car. I think it was under $20, probably the best cheap investment I've made into this car so far.

Mine still doesn't have great feel, even with the monster D150 master cyl. I'm beginning to suspect the brake pads...

Did you bleed the lines completely? I know the rears took a bit of time, but finally got the new fluid coming out. Just doing the rears almost gave a feel like new brakes. :)

I use a pressure bleeder on all my brakes now...best investment for brakes.

Yeah, I've bled them multiple times, and they've been flushed.
