Who here runs a turbo ll engine with a MBC with higher then stock boost level and how many miles are on your engine? Just curious on what kind of boost levels you guys run vs engine life?

My TII Daytona ran much higher than stock boost levels for years, has 160k on the engine.

There is no direct correlation to boost pressure vs. engine life. Of course if you let it knock or run lean, you could measure it in minutes or seconds rather than miles.

Been daily driving mine at anywhere from 15 to 25 psi for a few years no. No idea on mileage though, the odometer is broke lol.

The Charger is 10 years now on the same longblock. only about 40,000kms though and around 300 passes down the track.

18-20psi on pump gas and 35-39psi at the track.

Sounds like you can have your cake and eat it too with these engine's. I just didn't want my car crop dusting the highway with 15-16 psi after something like 20000 miles. All lm looking for is a reliable cuiser with around 200-220 HP. Thank you.

as long as the calibration is good (not too rich, not lean, little to no knock) it will last a long time.

btw, ask steve menegon how long these engines last lol. he puts them through their paces with his courier job.

Just FTR, I would not turn it up past 14psi on an original, never-been-apart engine w/o first changing at least the rod bearings and the head gasket.

The engine I have had about 100000 miles when I got it out of a t-boned 89 shelby. Before I swaped into my 86 Daytona, I freshen it up with new rings and bearings. That was 25000 miles ago.
