Crazy project car ideas.

Here is my thoughts on my next project if I ever finish my omni. Let me know what you think. I would start with an a body dart or duster 2 door. Here is where it gets interesting. Swap in a 4.0l mopar v6 (forged internals of course) from a Dodge nitro and run a good sized single turbo. Back it up with an NSG370 6 speed manual (maybe a t56?) out of a 3.8 wrangler (I'm pretty sure the 3.8 and 3.5/4.0 share the same bellhousing pattern) and run megasquirt. Competely modernize the brakes and suspension with coilovers front and rear and rack and pinion. I like the idea of the 4.0l because its already pretty powerful, and its all aluminum so its lightweight. Lightweight is key for me, I like to go around corners. And it's just plain different. Anyone else have any crazy projects you at thinking/dreaming of doing?

I'm still attempting to finish my omni as well.

My next project will be V8 and a car that has parts availability. Those are my only criteria.

probably GM 5.3 with a turbo and a 4L80E and some kind of rear axle.

5.3 cause the hemi is too much money.

I'm considering a pair of turbos for the 'Baron. Basically just because I can't get the emblems off of the fenders. I do so hate to be dishonest.
