On the Consulier...
Anyone change their rear tie rods? I have a passenger side inner one that needs replaced.
If you changed one, know what part number? Or know what it is from?

Parts list says MGES2133L ...autozone says ES2133L ( mazda 77-83 GLC ) The photo looks to be correct, it's got quite a bit of angle on it.
I typed up the parts list in xlsx format for easy searches and added some notes and some cross references...not done yet, but I'm working on it.
I sent you the draft

Doing a full suspension /steering rebuild on the blue car.
Couple things - the rear control arms are mounted differently between series 1 and 2. The series 1 has a thru bolt, not the series 2. Still working on it.

Sway bar end links are different too, the series 2 is not attached at all similar to series 1.

Tie rod ends- ordered 12 , got 4 that worked, all the same part numbers.

Putting Johnny's poly bushings all around.

Rear shock on passenger side too close to header. Melted all the rubber components. Gonna make a heat shield.

The blue car has a giant header , but my red car didn't have one either. Good to know.

I ended up threading a set and cutting down to Consulier length ( front inner tie rod ends ) Stock ones are too long. I also bought a steering rack because the passenger side end bushing was toast on my car...ended up disassembling the new rack to use the bushings on my old rack.

My rear tie rod ends are fine, but I'm putting the new shocks in my car this week. QA1 adjustable, same as the ones Johnny has and I'm going leave the stock spring for now and see how the adjustable shocks behave.
I'll be keeping an eye on the shock eyes for deterioration. The old shocks have metal bearings and the bearings I got with the new shocks are nylon like the old ones on the front shocks that were completely shot ( worn through the nylon and hitting the outer shock eye with the center bearing ) . FYI, QA1 does sell steel bearings for the eyes.

When I first got tie rod ends for red car one was perfect other didn't fit. Ordered 4 more got 2 that were good other 2 wrong.
All same part number.

Gonna order the metal eye from qa1 today. Have the double adjustable, on the blue car and had on red car too.
Without increased spring rate had too much body roll.

Blue car back from race alignment , all bushing new, replaced shock ends for the metal spherical ones, nylon ones had literally melted away.
Car lowered a couple inches , more rake. I will post spec sheet.
car handles 100% better. The big hp seems much more manageable.
