Just returned from my first trip to Carlisle and i have to say what an incredible show. So many cars and vendors and half the place is a swap meet going on too! Two days just isn't enough time to see everything.

It was great meeting everyone who stopped by at the car, sorry to those who stopped when i wasn't there, and sorry to all those who couldn't make it out this year *cough* *johnny* *cough*

It was well organized and we had great weather. Everyone else enjoy?

Glad to see one Consulier there.
If you don't have enough time to get it done in two days, go Thursday and Sunday too!

We were there Sunday as well, but not for the full day, only till noon. Definitely next year we'll be heading there Thursday night and spending more time.....

Way too much to see and not enough time!!

Wish I would have seen the car earlier. I wasn't sure if you were on the board because I didn't recognize the name so I left a note. Talked to Chris later and he said he got to talk with you.

I thought it was great you left the note. I was in and out at the car trying to catch as much of the show as I could, just too much to see.

What class did your car end up in?

It was in 215: Movie/TV, Special Interest, Custom. I called previously to make sure it was in the right class as well.

I thought it was funny how many people thought it was the car from the movie The Wraith. (for those that don't know the movie it was from late 80's and it was a Daytona prototype)

I think that was the wrong class for our cars!!!

Yea I don't think we belong there either. There needs to be a better class for these cars, but when I talked to them they couldn't determine a better class.

But I just looked at the winners...the class that it should be in, no one won so I guess not enough cars so the class was dropped. Then they put you in the class you were in.
the class I am talking about would be for mopar powered cars, like the interceptor, etc.

Which class are you looking at? I just looked at the winners list and did not see and empty class.

I saw a class when signing up, it was for mopar powered cars like the GTP and Interceptor. Don't see it now that the event is over...or I just am clicking the wrong thing.

Last year I didn't even park in my class which was movie cars as well. I just hung out with the SDAC guys at the tent. WAAAAAY better time

I think we need to plan a GTP group for next year!!!

To be honest I felt a little out of place there with the GTP. It's Chrysler powered but no one except for the SDAC crew knew what it was.

I know exactly what you mean. I get that at every show which is why i made the display. It cut down the oh so common "kit car" questions.

I'll upload a picture of it....

I saw a Jensen Intercepter in one of the photos...whet ever class it was in should be where the GTP should be.

I made display boards also, sure helps not telling the story of the cars 40-50 times at each show.

I've gone every year since 2006 and every time it's amazing. The key with a show that massive is, as you said, it's well-organized. I believe someone told me that the Carlisle fairground is 98 acres. You can't put on a show that big without very thorough planning. Every year they exceed my expectations.
