I am looking to replace the intercooler to airbox hose with a hard pipe for my BOV. would it be ok to use 2 hump hoses or should i get 45* hoses? I really dont want to spend $20 each for the 45* hoses but i will if i have to. This will not be a permenant setup, I will change everything around when I install my procharger intercooler

Thank You

and would it be better to use 2.25" couplers or 2.5".....stock ic and airbox are 2.25, hard pipe is 2.5

You can use as many hump hoses as you want. You will need a 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 reducer-cheap way is go the local muffler or parts store and buy a metal exhaust unit, then just use hoses to connect up.

hump hoses will give you a minor amount of play....

hrmm guess i'll look at exhaust pieces after i get the engine in.....might be cheaper to buy a foot or 2 of 2-1/4 and but my BOV on that

On my Shelby Lancer, I have a 2.25" straight aluminum tube connecting the intercooler outlet and throttle body. I use 2.25" hump hoses on each end with T-bolt clamps and it works great. I would definately use hump hoses so they will have some give and the engine won't try to yank on the rad/ic assembly when under heavy load. They will also not absorb as much vibration as a straight coupler would and it will be less buzzy/rattly inside the car. A 2.25" coupler fits onto the stock 46mm TII throttle body perfectly.

Hump hoses = good:thumb:

I use exhaust pipw with 2 1/4" truck rad hose until I decide to go past 12psi and get a bigger intercooler. They work fine never had a problem.

Using hump hoses on my car as well. After JB welding a ridge on each end of my AL IC pipe, they haven't come undone yet. Holdin around 25psi burst right now ;)
