Lost one of my fiberride centercaps while driving the other day. If anyone has one, has a link to one or a fabrication idea, please advise.

Thanks!

I need a full set of 4. I'm working on turning some out of aluminum billet stock. I picked up a 6" long bar of 2 1/4" for $17. I'll let you know how it goes.

the caps themselves aren't that rare just the gold colored ones, you can usually find a few silver ones on eBay easy

Thanks. I'm not really up to paying $65+ for ONE center cap. Let me know how the aluminum billet stock works out. If you're successful, I'll buy a couple off of you.

all of these will work, some are aluminum and others are plastic.

some of these numbers are casting numbers

The aluminum center caps (pizza wheel, centurion, etc.) do not work. They are too small and fit too loosely. The O.D. of the fiberide cap is between 2 1/16" and 2 1/8". The aluminum caps are closer to 2".

The lowest cost I could scrounge up for the plastic center caps was $20 each, and I think that was from Martin. My upper limit is $5 each.

So, so far I'm into this project for $17 and I think I'll be able to make 8 of them. I'll need some time though. This is a project that I work on during breaks and lunches.

Thanks,
Jeff

So, here's what I have so far. I found some retaining clips in the junk bin at work. They work fine. Now I just need to decide if I'm going to bevel the face a bit.

I'm still only into this for $17 (plus my time).

I don't know why, but the pictures I include always seem to disappear. Here they are again.

Project complete. I am not completely satisfied, but it's good enough for now. The paint ended up being thicker than I was expecting, so they look like they sit a bit proud.

Also, despite everything being Dupli-Color "Hyper Silver" the caps and wheels look totally different. What a waste of paint.

Also, I have 3 1/2" of the billet left over. So, plenty left to do 4 more.
