The mounting tabs on the top of my Instrument Panel have been broken for at least a year now and I decided it was time to fix them right. I tried to fix it with the dash in place, but without removing the windshield there is not enough space to work and properly fix it. Here is my first attempt:

I was then doing some searching before tearing into it and I found this on the other site, I thought a copy would be useful on here.

Here is the finished teardown on my car.

I'll start rebuilding the tabs now that it is out of the car and much easier to work on, I did find that as I was removing it, all but one of the four upper tabs fell apart. I have heard this is really common on the Daytona's and Lebaron's. I noticed this when I started to hear my dash rattling and vibrating.

I did this on my '88 a few years ago. I used Devcon plastic epoxy and it worked very well. I also put foam on each of the metal tabs that the dash sits on in the car near the windshield...this reduced vibrations and rattles from the dash considerably!
