Is there a way to use the 8v gear on the T3 intermediate shaft? Seems like I saw mention of this being done to slow down the shaft and help it live.

Also, anybody have a link to the belt tension gauge used to set the timing belt? Any good way of setting it without it?

Bump on the gear. Or are oiling mods a better solution?

I haven't done it myself, but from what I remember you run a round tooth gear and delete the idler pulley due to the larger 8v gear.

The shaft is the same, they say the TIII is a different material. You can use an 8 valve intermediate gear to slow down the oil pump but then you have to remove the rear idler pulley. Jackson add's an idler pulley up front which is supposed to eliminate belt chatter.

Then I had a gear made, one off deal.

Or Jackon's idea
