Well, its getting to be that time of the year! This years meet, like last years will be the sunday after mother's day on May 17th in Prosser WA. Like most I would prefer it to be on saturday but Ive found almost everyone has sunday off but not everyone has saturday off. Last year there was around 30 cars, double what showed up at the first event. Hopefully this year it will double again! This meet is always a blast. Its nice to finally put faces to names and its one if not the largest gathering of FWD Mopars on the west coast. So that means a lot of cars to drool on!

I find the easiest way to organize these meets is through Facebook. If you dont have Facebook and have questions PM me or post here. I will also gladly send you my phone number in a PM.

My car finally doesn't run like dog$hit so I will try and come this year. Hopefully we can get a few Spokane people to head down there. Was there any trouble from the local cops last year for modded exhausts? I seem to recall a lot of chatter about that leading up to it. Mine isn't loud or shiny but would likely get me in trouble if they decide to be pricks.

Looking forward to this. Excited to see Johnny's car. Is there any possibility that we could go to the Dyno the day before? I know u have one locally. Mabey those of us that arive the day before could go there? Could u possibly talk to the Dyno man?

Actually I may not be able to make it until Sunday morning. But depending on what u think. it could happen. If not I could go to your Dyno guy on Monday morning.
thanks

Hmmm, there were two turbo 3.0's tooling around on the outskirts after the meet and no fuzz.

Exhaust wont be a issue. They seem to have backed off. I was having those issues in my town, this is the next town over.

Another thing to keep in mind in WA if your car is over 25 years old it exempt from the exhaust laws. So for 8v guys thats most of us.

Are you just wanting a hp number? I went to HS with the dyno owner. I can set something up if you want.

Going to try to at least run the GLH down, although I've got a post-combustion oil leak going on (on decel).

was gonna say if you were going to bring the SL I'd bring my SL.

I would, but that one has a mystery I haven't put enough time into figuring out. (Likes to stumble/cut around 4k RPM).

Just got it re-licensed this last weekend and have plans to get some fresh rubber. I'll check it again (will be the 10th check or so) for sure. It would be sweet to roll the SL instead (or also, if I could talk the brother into not taking the Van). I'll keep you posted - may ask some advice in another thread.

Jay are you planning on going?

Also I know there was some worry about exhaust tickets. Locally they have backed off completly. I havent heard of anyone getting popped in a long time. Ive been driving my CSX open downpipe for 3 months and havent even been pulled over.

Just the way I feel. I like a day to just be lazy before work. Saturdays I'm up at 5:30am because my body thinks it's work day so I like to get out and get or do everything then. Sunday my body realizes it can sleep in a bit and catch up on all the rest it didn't get the week earlier. I don't like going to work tired. Making mistakes because of lack of sleep is dangerous in what I do.

Hoping I don't have to take a stock spirit to the meet. Maybe Mr Reaper can help make sure that doesn't happen ;)

Yeah, man. LMK if you need some help! I was already falling asleep last night! LMAO

When looking at the car, I moved it under cover after it had gotten some water on the relays. Now the fuelpump relay turns it self on after the key is removed. I thought it had stopped happening but while I was sleeping it killed the battery : /
The only way to stop the relay is to key on, and then it will cut out for a bit after the momentary fuel pump ground finishes. It would then eventually turn itself back on whether or not the key was in the on position or even in the car. It started taking longer and longer to happen (10-20 seconds instead of 5 seconds) so I ignored it and went inside when it went a few minutes without triggering. I didn't have the wiring book out as I was not looking for electrical issues.

So, anybody going besides the people with 3.0's who live the farthest away? Both cars aren't happy and they are still showing up.

I'm not going to make it. Motor home is having electrical issues and have a camping trip next weekend so I need to get it sorted out.

The attendance was lower this year, but it still seemed like an OK turnout. The cruise was awesome! Still don't know how long it was, but man...absolutely beautiful drive!!

So you enjoyed the cruise? That's awesome. The roads were not as fun as I would have liked but we're the best I could do and keep it close. When I drove it originally it was 40 miles. Who were you riding with? Trying to put forum names to faces. I was in the beater CSX.

I had a good time. Turnout was about the same as last year. I just wish more 8v guys would have came. Seriously thinking of doing it on Sat next year. Thoughts?

Chris was with me. I was quite worried the whole time that Kyle's motor would let go out in the middle of some wheat fields and we would never be able to find it again. He did a few smokey pulls copying me so I had to set a good example and stop hanging back and doing pulls. I also enjoyed passing a cop and not looking like I was part of the cruise. I noticed my fan relay is getting sketchy (doesn't always kick on) and I got quite hot after doing a rolling burnout on that super slow stretch around somebodies property. That road would be fun if you knew nobody was coming the other way.

Kyle's last real goof off pull filled his cabin with smoke and smoke was all I could see in the rear view. Very glad we made him go last! BTW, news is #4 has only 40psi compression. That was the plug I didn't like when I yanked them all out at the meet. Kyle was glad the bossy lady wasn't there to order us around while I had his motor torn down.

Cruise made up for the actual car meet being less social until the afterparty/BBQ. Maybe a slightly smaller parking area would promote integration.
