This pertains specifically to the Cometic Intake and Exhaust Manifold Gaskets sold by FWD for the T3 engines. I just tore apart my top end. Are these pricey gaskets re-useable? Has anyone done this before?
Thanks

I would re-use them if they aren't broken or aanything. And mine came in factory sealed Cometic packaging but were clearly not made by cometic. In fact, the exhaust manifold gasket said it was a ROL gasket.

Few years ago when this question came up someone chimed in that they ground the rivets off, separated the layers and sprayed each surface with a light coat of spray copper. Sounded like the best plan to me...

That may work for the headgaskets Alan but the OP is asking about the Intake/Exhaust.

It's really hard to say. As long as the gasket comes out whole and sections are not stuck to the mating surfaces they should be re-useable.
