Heater Door Calibration ???

2002 Ram 1500 (new body style).

How is the HVAC door calibration done ? This truck has the MANUAL single zone HVAC. No multi zone or automatic temperature control.

Three dials and the a/c button. Thanks.

Disconnect battery, Turn key to the on position, connect battery with key still on.

Seriously, hook up the battery with the ignition on? That sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Its the recommended procedure for a few different things in the chrysler world


Here is a quote directly from one of our recalls...

"Turn the ignition key to the “RUN” position, with no one inside the vehicle, connect the negative battery cable to the battery"

That recall is for an airbag recall even.

Come to find out one of the connectors was not fully seated thus causing all sorts of problems. Fully seated and all is functioning well again.
