Do you have one? I don't think they came stock, but while traveling in mine I sure miss having one.
I was wondering if anyone has added one? (or two)

I saw these and thought they may be good, and folds out of the way when not wanted.
Maybe attach them to the area below the door or to the side of the center console.

They come in stainless and abs, and colors.

You have a better idea?

Do one of the gyro looking ones that tilts with the G's.

I think when I have a drink, I don't drive where I'd need a gyro one. BUT good thought!
I really like that these fold up and out of the way.

I just decided to buy a couple like the black one to see how they work out.
I'll let you know when they get there and try them out.

Having driven your car on 3000 + Mile trips I understand your need for a cup holder. May not be able to fit a big gulp but at least a 16 ounce cup would be nice

Not sure what the door panel looks like compared to the door window but could always get one of he cup holders that clip into the window or the ones with the flap that goes in the window.

I've always wanted to integrate the cup holders from the Audis (I'm sure other German cars) that are basically slits in the dash and are push to open/close. When they come out, they expand like the one in the first pic, somewhat.

That would be great.
Saw some of those ideas also for some GM cars while searching folding cup holders on eBay.

I would imagine they would be WAY cheaper. Just another item I need to add to my list of interior mods for my car. :-\

For the L bodies, here you go.

This would go great where the map light goes. All that would be needed is the map light cover.

It would be nice to have a cup holder.
But I find that when I drive mine I have both hands on the wheel.
This car you cant drive with your knee and relax it's a drivers car I have found.
I just bring bottles that I keep the lid on.
You need to keep hydrated in South Florida.
Your cup holder would go good where the cell phone was mounted.

I tried that, doesn't work. Elbow hits it when you want to shift.

The way to make that work would cut a hole in the enter and let the cup recess into it. But I am unwilling to cut it.

Super car = No cup holders. Come on Man !

OR seriously thou - my car can fit a cooler behind the drivers seat and personally I only drink bottle waters.

Or I have put the bottle water in door pocket garter belt type device.

OR, the passenger can hold it in her garter belt type device ;)

I usually use the space between the leg bolster and the bottom of the seat...but a bottle with a cap is a must.

Seriously though, Johnny, that looks like a pretty good option especially for those that have the e-brake handle below the drivers door. Mine is in the center console so I may not have any room between the window controls and the e-brake handle. I'll have to go look.

Love this option, BUT what if a guys is on the trip with me?
Don't think this would work then.

Look at the 2002 vw golf unit, it's rectangular and could mount anywhere.

I installed two-one each on the wide floor area near the door. They are collapsible and nearly invisible when not in use. They are square in shape and about an inch thick when folded. They are a quality piece and work well as well as "fit" the car. I also installed two net type cell phone holders on the console sides-they are also in character with the car and work very well. When I get the car back, I'll snap a pic.

I received my two cup holders yesterday.
Not installed yet but look like they will work.
This is what they look like.

Got the interior below door panels cut and installed so I installed the cup holders also.

These did not work. The arms open too much and the drink tips over.

Sooooo...bought these polished stainless steel ones. Will not hold a big gulp (see photo).
The arms slide open wider, but not wide enough.
Seems my option to use the is to find a tall cup that works and put what ever beverage
into the cup.

or don't drink out of such a large cup? The one's I installed in my old car worked fine with cans and medium and smaller cup size.

Found a couple different bottles that will fit the new holder.
