Hello everybody.
Proud new owner of a Consulier GTP.
After conversations, I believe that the car I obtained is #34.

I hope to be a productive member of this forum.
I own a successful raceshop in Pennsylvania (www.RaceLabz.com) some of you may have heard my name or the shop's name.
We have been very successful in SCCA racing and World Challenge.

The car is currently at our shop and is beginning a complete ground up restoration.
At first glance there are some body pieces that are missing.
I hope that some of the members here can help provide information or parts.
We also have the ability to make molds for pieces of these cars if anybody is willing to provide their parts to be copied.

3 of the items I need:
- rear engine cover for a series 1
- rear lip spoiler
- front lower bumper/airdam

Please feel free to contact via email here, private message or email directly at info@racelabz.com

Thanks in advance -
Joel Lipperini

Wow! In PA even! I happened to pick up 2 series 1 engine covers this month while at Rossion. I know there are at least 4 more down there. Perhaps we can work out a deal. I also have a rear spoiler, that I would be interested in being used as a template to reproduce.

Welcome Joel. Great to have on board. You going T3 or staying T2?

Story how you got it? History of the car? Photos?

Dave - sent you a private message.
Johnny - I'll be posting photos and progress of the car
168glhs1986 - Car is fairly original, probably keep it as a T2. If I were going to change it, I'd probably use a A855 SRT4 engine.

Sounds like I still need to hunt down somebody for the front lower bumper/spoiler to use as a template for a mold.
I would think as a community, we would want this as an available piece for replacement in the future for damage, etc reasons - any thoughts???

Do you have a picture of what you're referencing by front lower bumper/spoiler?

I'm pretty sure I don't have a lower front bumper. Pretty sure my bumper is part of the monocoque. Car is in storage so can't double check.

I could be wrong and often with when combining cars and knowledge of cars....I am wrong.

Oh yea, wasn't even thinking SRT4....that's a great option in these cars. I believe there was a GTP with a SRT4 motor installed so hey it's factory as well. Just not period correct.

I do have a later model so maybe it's different with mine.

Pretty sure the front is an added on piece for the early cars. I believe Warren has an SRT4 powered Consulier, according to the guys at Rossion on my last trip down.

That's the one I wish I could get!
Would have made the perfect wedding present to my wife! ;-)

Those parts are some that were changed throughout the process. Do you have a series 1 or a series 2 car? (they have different bumpers) The wing on the back had variation as well, from series 1 to 2. Do you have pictures of your car?

There weren't many series 2 cars made. They have the running lights on the bumpers and not the body

Additionally, if you look at the pictures, you can see in one of them, the silver car pictured has the early series 1 front wheel well shape.

Mine is a Series 1 #34 we believe with the round wheel arches.

What year? 1988 or 1990? What the last 4 numbers of the VIN?

Racelabz : Johnny's asking for this basic information so he can update his website with your cars information. He is the Consulier GTP keeper of records so to speak.

Joel, My series 1 car doesn't have that bumper thing either and that rear spoiler is much different than the one on mine ( as are a bunch of them )
We've discovered that almost all of the cars even in the same series have slight differences.
BUT....depending on the car's history it may have gotten "retro-fits" along the way...My car has "eyelids" over the doors and most series 1 cars don't ( according to Dan ).
...What I'm getting at is that finding the mold or a piece in the container is the easier part, will it fit?...that's the hard part ;)
