today i found out that the bushing in my dog bone and the bolt have been missing for who knows how long. so what i did was get a screwdriver that i didnt really need around (wasnt craftsman) and cut off the handle, drilled a hole in the middle of it... and there was me new bushing. just in case this happens to anyone else....

Let us know how long that works for. I would not think that a screw driver handle would hold up for that long, as they can break realtivly easily. Great idea.

ya, im not sure what happen to the bushing or bolt. i think maybe the bolt snapped off.

the handle wasnt one of those cheap plastic ones, it was a stanely and was maybe poly urethane... felt like a skateboard wheel

Cool, that would probably work very well then. I was picturing a craftsmen screwdriver handle that is just the clear plastic.

Less than $10 to make. Not for 525 tranny's though,

Youmust have the fancy pants professional ones then. I just buy the cheapest set they have that are warrantied, the ones which have the clear plastic handles with the red stripes denoting flat head, and blue denoting the philips.
