Power Steering Valve

Does anyone know where to get the different valve required to use the ham can pump with a quick ratio rack? I just found out I accidentally scrapped the ham can that came off the GLH and kept a stock Omni one by mistake. Aside from a slightly harder to turn rack, will it cause any serious problems to use a stock pump/valve with a quick ratio rack if I can't find the right valve?

You can always buy a firm feel power steering pump and hope it has the correct firm feel valve in it to fix it.

When I had this problem on my Omni, I thought I could live without the firm feel pump. The problem is the rack was intermittent when it was hard to turn. Sometimes it would be fine, then other times it would not. It was so inconsistent that you'd be going around a corner just fine, then all of a sudden the power steering got harder to turn, then it was fine. There was no rhyme or reason. Because of this, I went ahead and got the firm feel valve out of a spare pump I had and it fixed it since. I'd almost venture to say it was dangerous, because one moment you were fine, the next moment the steering wheel would jerk one way during a turn.
