Bought one of these awhile ago and have yet to run it. It's gonna be run on a +1g head bbasically doing a super 60 setup with some newer parts. Does it sound lopey at all? Haven't hear any real feedback from people actually running one.

Do you know what vacuum HG is at idle? Just curious. We will assume stock is 18-21 HG.

so I finally get with the owner and get a video made, get home pop the sd card in the computer, upload the dang thing and boom, frickin sound doesn't work on his car....awesome, anyway here is my car (blue with F4) and his car (red with S60 roller)and no sound) There is vacuum readings in both videos. I will try to have him swing by tonight after he gets off work to do another video, hopefully with sound. ugh

Can't tell what the vac gauge readings were from that video. First car sounds good. I like it

First car was reading about 18 in/hg, second was more like 14/15

blue car is about 18-19 at idle, the red car (s60) is about 16 idle

edit; bue car is fully tunable with adjustable gear, the red car is stock 87glhs electronics and stock cam gear.

How's the super 60 sound compaired to the other car

forcedfedmopar

they are 2 different animals, the blue car is fairly serious about getting from a-b. the red car not so much. Both sound great! blue car has FULL 4in exhaust side exit where the red has full 3 and rear exit.

I believe that. I just meant which sounds like its barely running the most haha

Yours sounds pretty mean. I wish my paint was as nice as yours. Maybe one day.

they both sound...not stock. The red one is more evenly toned. the blue one has a pretty good rumble to it. its hard to compare just due to exhaust size. we are changing over to FWD stage 5 and +40s in the red one soon, it *may* change how it idles a bit.

I'm gonna be running a custom cal with +40s also. I'm only running a 2.5" exhaust tho.

I appreciate all your efforts! I don't have the means to watch video (dial-up). So the nutshell version is s-60 cam is 18-19 HG idle and F4 camshaft is much more lopey idle at around 14-16 HG. Neither cam was degreed in? Very possible the s-60 cam could be way out of the ballpark with intake centerline since there is no way to adjust. It could also mean that s-60 camshaft doesn't have much duration, hense the pretty high vacuum at idle. The old school slider S-60 degreed in would be around 16" HG at idle. I'll bet the F4 camshaft could lose substancial MPG's unless it is driven at pretty high RPM until it gets into it's intended powerband.

You have it backwards. The F4 cam was 18in hg and s60 16in hg.

You have them backwards, F4 is has more vacuum and is more aggressive. Also, I got 34MPG on drag week 2011 with that F4, I haven't found a down fall to it yet.

Good to know, Thanks for the correction. I got some specs from Cindy on the F4 and couldn't believe the lack of overlap @ .050. Pretty short exhaust duration IIRC. That makes sense then that it idles decent. Only downfall I see is the lack of lift for someone with a cylinder head that flows a bunch above .470 lift.
I recently installed a camshaft in a similar build GLHT. Had .030 more lift and significantly more intake duration than the F4, hense more overlap. Owner is still evaluating, but it pulls like a freight train to 7K+. Initial thoughts were the mileage may have dipped 4-5 MPG on freeway drive home.

Pretty sure the Charger is around 16 vac at idle with the F4 degreed at 115. Charger still get 40 mpg (CND)

yea my cam is not degreed in, just plopped it in and adjusted accordingly. I cant say what MPG the red car gets, the guy drives it like he stole it constantly.
