I just discovered the left rear mounting tab cracked on my newly acquired shelby valve cover. I hasn't spread into the bottom rail area yet and right now only cracked in the arch. What have you guys done to repair these? It's on the backside, so cosmetics are not the top priority - structural integrity is my priority. Any success with welding them?

Weld it honestly.

I have had great experiences with all of the Wurth products I've used.
Maybe this one could help you to fix your V/C.
I haven't used it personally, but if I had a cracked V/C, I sure would.

Weld it. Hand file on the inside, outside, and gasket grooves and youll never know it existed.

I'd have it welded and then smooth out the welds so it seals nicely.

or

I'll give ya $20 shipped for it...afterall it is broken... ;)
