Thermostat housing possible outlet option

Since I don't want to run 2 rad caps I was doing some research and I came up with this outlet. I did not try a thermostat and I don't know what thermostat will work since you cannot use the one with the o-ring style seal but I will look into it further, It is for a 3.3 Four Seasons part number 85177 50281

Check this out, Justin. Some guys are using chevy tstat housings. This one is pricey, but other swivel housings for chevy without the pressure cap bung can be found for about 15 bucks.

The 2L neon DOHC intake has the same bolt spacing as the 8 valve thermostat housing and that is what I'm using with a hose that has a 90 to clear my throttle body that is now on the passengers side of the intake.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the chevy fitting. I saw the swivel ones in summit catalog but they were pricey so I didn't want to take a chance. Stupid me forgot to compare the one on my father-in-laws small block when I had the thermostat out recently. I paid 15 for this one so I will probably use it because the outlet is just about perfect for me. I took notice at one time that the bolt spacing was the same as the 8 valve and one day looking at my dads work van with a 3.3 I noticed it was the same spacing so I found this one online.

I know this is old... but if the bolt spacing is the same as a Chevy SB, my 92 pickup uses an o-ring seal for the t-stat. However, the relief for the o-ring is machined into the intake, not the outlet.

Damn I have always wanted to figure out a solution to this. I'm one of the goofballs thats been running two rad caps all along. 20psi on the water neck, regular 16psi cap on the radiator so I can use the stock overflow bottle. Even if a small block V8 one worked with a little machining (to the housing, not the intake), it would be worth looking into.
