Hey all, this was from an old thread but I will update anyway. I am removing the T/U R-4 cam from my 2.5 Charger and reinstalling a stock roller that I got from Jackson. It is unclear if it is 88 or 89. I took the opportunity to do some more profile work on the R-4 cam. Here are my observations generated at .003 lift.
Intake 218 degrees
Exhaust 220 degrees
Intake centerline 114 degrees
Exhaust centerline 263 degrees
Intake lift is .497
Exhaust lift is .475
On this basis, I calculate that the....... intake opens @ 10 degrees ATDC and the intake closes @ 48 degrees ABDC. The exhaust opens @ 27 degrees BBDC and closes @13 degrees ATDC.
I am asking that people review this information and if they concur with my findings, I suggest the information should be stored in the knowledge center for others who own R-4 cams to view.
