I'm going in a different direction with my Omni build and I wanna give someone else a good deal on an almost ready swap 2.4L turbo engine and 568 5-speed transmission.
The engine is a out of a 2003 Turbo PT cruiser (same as SRT4) plus the added oil cooler. It has 160 Psi compression pressures across all cylinders. The engine does have some miles on it but I do not know the exact number. I inspected the bearings when I purchased it and they look to be in good shape. Things I have done to the engine include...
Balance shaft delete
Custom windage tray
oil filter spacer
opened up oil pick up
Powder coated oil pan and valve covers and a few misc. parts
Installed GM style LS7 heat sink coil packs
The engine has a custom built tubular turbo exhaust manifold
The turbo is a Holset HE351 with a polished compressor housing, ported WG hole, ceramic coated turbine scroll, and WGA mount delete.
The transmission is a 5 speed 568 that I modified the bell housing to properly mate with the engine. I also already fit the starter that some doing this swap into a TDcar find to be one of the harder problems. I will even toss in a megasquirt 1 with the v3.0 board.
I'm looking to get $2,850 obo for the package or $2200 for the engine less the transmission and starter. It may seem like a bit of money but you will be hard pressed to build it or even find this combination at this great price. Also included is the PT intake manifold, wiring harness, fuel rail and injectors, srt4 upper engine mount and a bunch of odds n ends. Feel free to ask questions and check out the Build thread
