Update: Nov 2014

I have to get this car gone. It's going to the scrapyard with a running VNT motor if someone doesn't take it off my hands. I have no means of delivery, and I can't guarantee it's drive-ability; it has a dual-diaphragm pressure plate that is very hard on the left leg.

Description: 1990 Lebaron GTC (VNT) Convertible. Needs a new top (it is ripped and leaks). Motor is original and runs well, on 2nd headgasket. Car has sat for a few years, but I start it regularly, and it's under a tarp. It would be a good fixer-upper for someone who wants a running car to clean up, or a great parts car.

Needs: Tires (It has tires but they have flat spots so short drives would be ok), Top, Rearview Mirror needs to be glued back on, general cleaning and maybe a refresher on the motor.

Pros: Car ran well for 150K on original gasket, and it was replaced for maintenance, not because of failure. Has a custom installed T1 radiator and porsche 944 intercooler, and a cold air intake. There is a custom cal and FFV injectors. Last major trip I took it on I drove 650km, plus an afternoon at an 1/8th mile drag strip on a 40L tank. Also ran a 15.0 1/4 mile time, which is 0.7s faster than stock with very few mods and a not pro driver (me), so the motor runs well for nearly stock.

Story: I got out of the scene years ago because I became a family man. Things change, and I'm now single and recently lost my job and got evicted, so I need to liquidate the car before I qualify for assistance while I look for work. I can't bear to scrap the car because of what it is. I am very open to offers, and I will try to get whatever info I can for anyone interested.

I don't own a camera or a phone, but I will try and get a friend to upload a picture from a camera phone. The car looks the same as the pictures in my gallery except it's sat for a couple years.

Is the price for real? $100? If so I might have to figure out how to get up to Canada!!

I have a feeling if the price is correct this might turn into a Rat Race type of situation... I would love to go get this thing in Canada too!

I am interested in the overall condition of the car. How bad is it? Depending on that I might be serious about buying it.

I wish I was closer id scoop it up. Ive been wanting to get a lebaron vert for my wife for years and if I remember right this is a pretty clean car. Are you really going to buy it TVM? If not ill see what I can do. How soon do you need it gone?

My friend has restored a 90 VNT lebaron. Is the original rad with the plastic side tanks availble/in good working order?

Simon just drove off with the car. I drove it around the block and it still rips. Man I forgot how awesome that car is and how sweet the Talon BOV sounds front mounted on the lower pipe! Gonna go have a beer and a cry now. It's been a slice being part of the community.

Depending on the condition of the body I truly am interested! I don't know what it takes to import a Canadian car as far as tariffs and such, though. I know there's been a number of people who have successfully done it, however.

I'll take good care of it, NOT. :p It sucks it has to be parted but they just aren't a wanted car anymore.
