Oil leaking from plug on head

A buddy of mine is doing some trans work on my TIII Daytona, and he noticed oil leaking from a plug in the head. It is located above the power steering bracket, rear left corner of thead. He tried sealing the plug with teflon tape, but it is still leaking. Tried sealing it with a good diesel spec RTV type sealant, still no good. We are going nuts over this! Everything was cleaned/prepped properly to use the sealant. Anyone have any advice for this situation?
