Hey guys. I need a radiator for a 5 speed l-body. As long as it's not leaky and works, I'll be happy. Local would be prefered.

Thanks guys!

it's actually not hard to fit an early G-body radiator in one. They are cheap from Rock Auto, and you get a lot more capacity than stock. I did it a couple of years ago, and love it. No issues with temps now...

Of course I'm still running the carb motor, so I don't have to worry about room for intercooler hoses.

Just make sure it has the extra port for the heater hose

+1, That's part of why I said early G-body. Plus the later ones changed the radiator mounting type, and it makes it a lot harder to install. Get one for an 85 Daytona, and you are golden!!:thumb: You will need to get the Daytona radiator hoses to go with it, relocate the bottom passenger side mount, and make two "L" brackets for the top mounts, but it can be done in an afternoon.

The best part is, it's about 1/3 the price of an L-body radiator!

If it doesn't have the port, you can just swap to a G-body water pump housing as well. If you do decide to go this route, I've got a very nice radiator out of an '85 Daytona I'd sell for recycling value plus shipping. I'll have to see if it has the heater hose port. Copper core, and brass end tanks. Not the cheap aluminum and plastic junk the stores sell these days.

Or if you happen to have a good copper core radiator to fit my '91, I'd gladly trade and pay shipping both ways. I'm tired of replacing the aluminum core ones every few years.

I appreciate the info on the G-body setups. I'm actually not going to be keeping the 2.2L in the car, so I'm trying to avoid a lot of investment and work on a radiator that won't be staying in the car for too long. I just want to get it up and running to have it mobile for a little while.

Force Fed, you think you can do a shipping quote to 21030?

I can, it'll probably be around $40.
