I thought I once read somewhere about the differences of the California emission engines for the Whittier cars, but I can't seem to find anything now. What (if any) were the differences between Whittier cas sold in California and those sold everywhere else?

I don't know about the Whittier cars for sure, but the 'regular' Chrysler T2 cars had EGR added for Cali.

They also had their own CARB blessed calibrations.

no EGR on my '89 first sold in Ca. and I have an underhood vac. diagram (Shelby) under the hood of my rampage and no EGR there either.
There was no EGR on my '92 T1 Cali car and it just passed a smog check in January.

Passing smog in California is all about finding someone to turn a blind eye during the visual inspection. :)

no egr on any of my turbo II cars, with cali emissions sticker on the hood. My 2.5's and log intake cars have egr though.

I know that the '86 GLHS had EGR, and, IIRC, the '87 GLHS did not.
