Old pic I found on my pc. 14x5 with a wide 225.. probably closer to a 235. IIRC this was for G-stock cone dodging so he had to keep the stock wheel size.

The interesting thing is that tires were designed to be run like that.

I remember many years ago, probably 14-15 years now, I was down at Summit Point Raceway for a SVRA event. I hung out with a few guys with MG's, FrogEye Sprites, Minis, and so on. I talked to them a bit about the tires, and they were limited to the stock wheel size, but not the stock tire size. Tire companies designed these tires with that sidewall shape for those guys.

Not long ago, I briefly tried to find more info on those tires, but it just isn't floating around on the net.

I dont think this was one a cantilever slick. Just a plain old comp t/a r compound. I thought it was refreshing to look at after seeing a lot of the extreme opposite lately.
