I'm goin to the track this Friday. Hope it doesn't rain. Predict my ET.

List of Mods;
1) 89 Caravan SE Black with minimal paint peel. Stock turbo decals.
2) Stock block .020 over balance shafts removed. Rebuilt with Venolia forged pistons .020 over (from FWD). File to fit rings, speed pro.
3) Swirl port head with mild poring (done by myself). Back cut valves, new valve job. Stock 89 roller cam. Nothin special.
4) Garrett Gt2871R(3) dual ball bearing turbo, 57 trim compressor, custom 2.5" to 3" mandrel downpipe (done by myself) Final target Boost hits 22-23 psi.
5) Turbos unleashed stainless header, custom stainless flange to fit GT2871R Garrett dual ball bearing turbo. (pics available) 3" mandrel exhaust full length, Dynomax straight thru 3" muffler.
6) CNC ported intake to match 52mm throttle body.
7) RRR (done by myself) set to come on @15psi of boost 3:1 gain, AFPR base setting @ 32psi. 52pph S60 injectors. 255lph hi pressure hi volume fuel pump. 5th injector cold start off a Volvo comes on @ 18 psi of boost.
8) Intercooler; 2 stock cores welded together with custom endtanks, front mount in front of radiator (done by myself), 2.5" mandrel 6061 alum intercooler tubing. 1G DSM BOV Gus/Donovan modified to hold 30 psi.
9) Autozone "power adder" guaze air filter. Home Depot air duct intake.
10) Severely modded trans. Full auto functions, no RMVB. Shift kit, stock remmaned converter, .91 transfer gears, stock diff, 2.70 something final drive.
11) 205 60 R15 Cooper cobra radial tires. Fronts around 22psi, rears around 45psi. Custom air shock on driver rear of van, 90 psi.
12) 2 stage boost, low around 8-12psi, high 22-23psi.
13) 3,160 lbs with driver race weight.
14) 180 dg pin drilled thermostat. Manual fan switch. (yes I got it working)
15) Sock 89 electronics (engine management)
16) Base timing @ 12dg.
17) Zener diode map cutout raiser.

Here's what I can tell you, van pulls strong. I've pulled a LT1 Camaro from 50 mph to 100 mph (could've been a no driving MF). When cruising from 35mph I can stomp the gas & it downshifts to 1st then the tires break loose. From a dead stop I can floor it & 10ft out the tires are blazin in 1st thru 2nd gears. I can foot brake it for 3 seconds, let off & tires are immedeately on fire. 2 stage is no better, as soon as it hits high boost tires are gone. With this van, seats removed, no passenger=better traction. TRACTION will definitely be my issue. The Dbb turbo is blowing impressively @IDLE! Please feel free to guess away & I'll post photos of the timeslips (if it doesn't rain). Temps here in Tulsa, Ok should be around 85dg, should be a good summer night.

Simply because of the "minimal paint peel" and stock decals I'll say 130 mph traps... as long as there's a good coat of wax! Aerodynamics baby! :)

Hmmmmm, because of traction, I would say 13.8@98 mph.

I hope your going to use some race fuel?

I'm cerainly hoping for 13s. Traction may be a serious issue. Should be deep 14s anyway. The paint peel is probably from previous jaw dropping trap speeds.

If youre pulling on an LT1 than your trap will be above 100. Traction will be your limiting factor. So im gonna say 14.2X @ 101.

That's why I hate to say what I've pulled. Could have been a no drivin mofo. I spanked an LT1 in my shadow @ the track (14.05 @ 98mph). Dude kept claiming how he had a consistent 13.8 car. His "best" was a 13.6. He swore my run was a 13.7 (clocks were off). Whatev. I seriously doubt a run over 100 mph but thanks for the vote of confidence!!:thumb:

I'm undecided about the race fuel. Put some in the shadow on a friday night...14.5 @ 95 mph on 110 mix. The next night (saturday) 14.05 @ 98mph on 91. Killed my power as I try to tune for pump 91 octane. Might try 1 gallon.:)

Unless the driver was a serious dumbass driving a stick car, I dont see how he could mess up a 50 mph roll......

Usually an LT1 will trap high 98's 99's bone stock. So, I hope you break 100.

Ok so I went out & as I expected the tires were spinning:eyebrows:
I tried to take a pic of the timeslip, but my camera wouldn't focus & the print is real faint I'll post a pic anyway. Sheesh I'm tired. Here are the numbers of the best pass
R/T... .068
60'... 2.329
330... 6.099
1/8... 9.220
mph... 78.36
1000... 11.940
1/4... 14.277
mph... 95.91
I think umbass was the closest. You win absolutely nothing!
When I pulled up in the staging lanes everyone was looking & laughing. I have some video of a good race, my 2nd run against a fellow dodge. He 60ft'd me but I pulled over a car link on him by the 330' then he pulled me on the top end. I ran a 14.309 @94.5 mph to his 13.961 @ 100.35. The announcer about sh!t himself on that run. He was saying at the lights "you can race anything out here, folks...thats a caravan." at the 1/8th "that little minivan is flying folks" and thru the 1/4 "14.3 out of the minivan!! holy cow batman!"
Funny thing is he didn't say a word about the V8 chargers 13.9 run. I guess even if you lose they still can't believe how good a minivan runs. TONS of people swarming the van wanting to know "what do you have in that thing?" It was good times. One guy in a V8 elcamino asked me "How much nitrous do you have on that van?" Ha! I had over a carlink on him @ the 330 & he drove around me to run a 13.765 @ 100, I ran a 14.420 @ 95.
I had to pedal the van alot up past the 330. Spinned the tires in first & second. I've decided I'm getting slicks. I've had enough tirespin & I believe the van has alot more potential, especially thru the 330. Next time I run will be with slicks.

Thats why I want a minivan! Nice work. So you didnt hit a hundred, but low 14's in a minivan is something to be proud of. With slicks, youve got a high 13 in there!

Thanks. I really couldn't believe the timeslips as much as I was pedalling I was thinking "Damn!, this is gonna be a 15 second pass." The slowest run of the night out of 5 runs was a 14.8. I think i'm gonna get a wideband too, just to be sure of the A/F. The van LOVES the short end of the track. My shadow loves the big end.

that is a nicely built minivan ya have there, i like it! the best part was the kid who im assuming is your son filming "yeah and its gonna smoke some peeps!"
what tires were you using? i agree that you have some traction problems off the line. a set of slicks sounds like a good idea, then you'll be flying. have any plans to spray it with a dry shot?:eyebrows:

Thanks. That was my 12yr old son on the video, he loves to talk smack! I bought the van out of a salvage in Feb, 2006. I basically had to go through & rebuild everything. Tires are 205 60 R15 Cooper cobra. I couldn't give it full throttle till well past the 330ft so basically the first 6 seconds of the run was not at full power. The race with the charger hooked different, spun the tires pretty hard right off the line, felt a little wheelhop & BAM it hooked. You can see it in the video where I pulled up past him @ the 330. Here's the numbers on that race left is me, right is him;
60'... 2.298 2.192
330.. 6.013 6.031
1/8.. 9.173 9.081
mph.. 77.25 80.77
1000.. 11.938 11.719
1/4... 14.309 13.961
mph.. 94.51 100.35
I might spray it, but it would be a wet shot.

Sweet, nice runs man.. I always get people laughin at my van, no matter how many times I bring it to the track they still don't think it can be fast. Then after my burnout, I'm usually the biggest hit there. LOL!
