I have a new grill for the 78-? year cars...wanted to go nostalgia racing...ordered it...got it...shorted than the newer cars grills by about a half inch on each side. So I took a older emblem and 3-M taped it to a new correct fit silver grill with silver headlight bezels and ran the car in said class at Indy...after 6 races of being winner or runner-up "they" gave us a new rules sheet and in large type lettering they added the "Taylor" rule....NO FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CARS ALLOWED! At the end of the year I was still number one with the pts I had....at the awards banquet I was....not even mentioned. The guy in the second spot got about $1000 of stuff total...half was cash. Even 4th place got $250 in stuff. They never ran another nostalgia class with regular brackets again. NMCA runs a indexed one that Matchbox would fit into, but the slowest index is 14.5....quite a bit too quick for me right now. Oh yeah...let me know if anyone needs the older grill....I need to sell it since it wont fit the Box correctly.
