Hey guys,

I searched and found if you use daytona struts and springs it will drop a caravan about 3 inches.
How much drop in the front will the daytona struts with caravan springs get?

89 caravan turbo btw.

I did that. I cut a coil off the minivan springs, though. I think if you don't, the resulting pre-load makes the ride too harsh. The minivan struts are only about 1/2" longer than the Daytona struts. So, maybe an inch of lowering comes from the difference in strut height.

I think the final result was about 2" lower in front...

I did daytona struts with un-cut van springs in my cousin's 94 T&C. It lowered it about an inch. It really did more 'leveling' than lowering.

I have spirit springs/struts in my 90 and it lowered it about 3.5".

Any idea how much of a drop will be had from removing the 5th leaf spring from the hd leaf springs? And how would you remove it?

Yea don't run minivan springs on Daytona struts. I could easily lift the front of the van and top out the struts. And it only sat 1/2" lower. I'm back with minivan struts/springs.

The advantage of running car struts with van springs is you can cut-to-suit for a drop between 0-3+ inches. If you are ok with 3+" drop, go straight for car struts and car springs. If you want something less than 3", use car struts with van springs and cut to suit.
