View Full Version : General: Need Rear Air Dam 89 CSX Help!!!

Well had my glass guy put a new windshield in My CSX the other day and he thought it would be nice to back it up, well he hit my tool box and destroyed my lower rear air dam.. I really would like an original! let me know!

Wow, that really stinks. Sorry to hear about that. Nothing like breaking a Shelby specific part.

I hope they have good insurance, because that is going to be a minimum $400 part and another $200-300 to paint, maybe more with blending it to the rest of the car.

You're going to have to look for a part out. If you go repro, Johnny had a mold made a couple years ago.

The rear wing, and the front spoiler. That's about all you can get from them the last I knew.

Don't throw away your broken one, shops that fix/repair motorcycle plastic body panels can do amazing things with ABS plastics. A few years back when I crashed my Honda CBR 900RR at speed, both side panels and the rear upper were broken and ground all the way thru. A local shop plastic welded and filled them so it wasn't even detectable from the outside.

I was also kinda wondering what shape your broken rear dam is in...my CSX VNT is totally missing its rear air dam unfortunately.
