My motor idles at 1600-1700 rpm. I put a 52mm TB on it, but I believe DodgeZ and I put the right sensor in. Anybody got any ideas what it might be? It is running great other than that.:thumb:

The 52 and 46 mm AIS are different. A 46 will leave a bigger air gap... Have you tried manually adjusting it yet

Kev and I look at the AIS and put a 52mm TB AIS in there. It had a snub nose not the pointed like the 46mm. How do you adjust it?

Use the throttle blade adjustment... unplug the brake booster... disconnect the AIS elec connector after it closes. Re-plug the brake vac... manually set the throttle blade stop until the car idles about 1100 or so.. re plug in the AIS.

So the pointy one is the 46mm?

Thanks ken...where does the brake boost unplug at? How does the throttle blade adjust? Never messed with this if you can't tell.

on the intake. There will be a really small cap. Looks like a small freeze plug. Pop that out and you can adjust the set screw. Make sure you check your timing with the light also. There were a bunch of other issue that could lead to it being out of time some making it rev up a bit once we fixed the issues.

I will check the timing tonight when I get home...she is running good other than the high idle.

When I took the brake booster line off it would go to 3500-4000 and stay there. It would never come down. (Yes the AIS was still plugged up) I set it at 1000 with all of it hooked up and it idled fine. Took it around the block a few times with no problems.

Anybody see a problem with this? Does that mean my AIS is not working?

What your trying to do is have the computer close the pintle so unplug the booster, let the rpm go up for 10 secs or so, then UNPLUG the AIS sensor-the computer will have tried to lower the idle and now its closed off, reconnec the booster, set the idle and reconnect AIS connector.
