Believe I have two complete sets of shifter and cables for the A520/A555.

What kind of car is it going into?

86 horizon,. right now there held on with zip ties and tape. and the reverse ring is broke.

I have mint 555 cables out of a Minivan and a shifter.

what, the plastic sockets on the trans end are worn? semi-permanent and relatively reliable fix I've done for this - use approx. 4" section of exhaust hanger strap (flat cheap stuff). about 1.5" from either end, notch one of the holes with a slot small enough to retain the ball in the socket; you want the notch centered/slightly inward for the ball, on the face of the socket - and the remainder of the strap folded over the end and then the back of the socket, there should be enough length to have both ends of the strap on cable with holes on opposite sides. run a couple heavy zip ties around the cable & thru both holes of the strap, loosely. you'll need the strap kind of loose so you can pull the notch tight behind the ball (inwards to the cable) - then work it in to place with a hand on it to seat it correctly. I have a good set of long reach & angled pliers that I used to pull the zip ties tight once I was sure it would stay secure thru the full range of motion. a pain - but not as bad as changing cables, cheap, and done right it will hold until you find the parts you need. the reverse ring is the plastic insert that goes thru the shifter. do a search, there's fix hidden out there for that, too.

Sorry to thread hijack; I'm after a set of A520 P-body cables for use in an L-body. Are the A555 cables the same?

do you still need shifter and cables for 555 trans daytona am actually in need of set, and are they the same as 87-89 dodge shadow? what year Daytona did the shifter and cables come out of?

The shadow cables are shorter, but i was told daytona ones will still work.The shadow shifter however is bent, whereas the daytona one is straight
