I have been driving my Daytona with the Holset on it all summer and my girlfriend tells me it vibrates more this year then last year. We put a water bottle on the passenger side near the font and center of the foot well. The water in the bottle was shaking out of control. Here is how my current solid bobble strut is set up.

I am taking the strut to work tomorrow and having the bracket cut down and re install the top bushing. Anyone else have these same vibration issues??

too much preload will cause it to vibrate more. If the other mounts are sagging you might just have to readjust your trans mount.

I just replaced the passenger mount last week. I had no pre-load on the strut before. The pass mount was sagging.

Readjusting the mount should solve it; especially if it was initially set with the passenger side mount sagging a bit.

+1 to what 86Shelby said. You just have unload on it now instead of pre-load which will cause vibes into the car.

I will re install it without pre-load and see what that does, but here is my modified bracket after taking it to work.
