Hah! I spent more time on that car than anyone. Dad likes to use the DA, I'm more a hand on kinda gal. I did all the detail work - sanding, masking, color sanding, buffing, etc....

Frank - next on the list for me will by my Daytona. I'm still trying to find a nice passenger fender before I start. It might be next summers project. Funds are tight. :(

Chuck- If I was to get married I'd let everyone here know. Hell, I'd prolly invite all of you. (a wedding for me is still a long ways off) The Shadow's an auto. It's the nicer car to drive long distances with cruiz and all.

I like where you peeled off the Darwin emblem and it took the outline off in paint. Car came out really nice. My Horizon should be to you in about 2 weeks. TIA. haha :thumb:

When I still had my Shadow I should have sent it to you. Instead it got some SUPER GHETTO spray can action. $10 later my car was all "gloss black". Yeah right... :(

Okay, you're forgiven for ignoring us.

How much are you willing to pay for a passenger fender, with shipping? There's a first gen Daytona at a junkyard in Omaha and I'm pretty sure the RF fender is straight. They charge $25 for a fender, but I don't know what shipping would be.

That is her dad's CSX, forgot which number, not sure if he is on this forum.

Like JT said, it's my dad's 89 CSX. We autocross it.

Is a 340 & 4-speed in the Duster. Was originally a slant 6 auto.

Dave- Your Shadow looks like it's definetly getting closer to be freshly painted. What color are you going with??

:) I feel better now that I have been forgiven.

Thanks for the offer. I figure I have till spring to find me a fender... I'll prolly wait it out and see if one pops up at a local yard here. I'd hate to pay shipping if I can get it local... Thanks for the thought though.

Man, these cars look good when they have clean and straight skin. Sharp Shadow, Sherri (say that 10 times fast).

I'm sticking with the factory Exotic Red color (PR1, same as the 89 CSX). My Uncle out in Iowa is doing the paint/body work. I'm doing some mechanical work on his 73 AMC Hornet in return.

Sherri, Also there is a first gen daytona here in a local yard with 10K miles on it and literally perfect fenders and doors.

Maybe I'm forgetting, but I think PR1 is for the regular dodge vehicles. The csx vnt cars got a different darker red.

Those emblems look to be re-painted. I did that to my daytona badges and they came out pretty good:thumb:

It took about 2 months work, only had weekends and evenings after work. There is only 2 small patches of bondo on the car... which were just from door dings. Nothing major at all. And the best part, NO RUST!

The emblems, I just repainted them. They turned out very nice. They were all worn off chrome ones.

Best Post Ever !!!!!!! I have the same exact car/ color, just bought the same wheels, and have the same paint problem. I have been dreading it but the job doesn't look so bad after all. Got some rust repair to do underneath. Now if it would just quit raining so I can get out there and get started.

Very inspirational pics (for me at least  )
