What upgrades are you planing to your Consulier?

I am going to.....
I am going to change the intake and exhaust manifolds with better ones.
I have one of TU's 3" swing valves to add. Then building a new 3" exhaust.
I also have a 3" Monza Tip. But it is yellow and black. Need to change the yellow.
Then add a little larger injectors ( not sure what to use yet)
This winter I am going to refresh the rear suspension. One shock is leaking.
Then build poly bushings for the arms. (anyone else want some?)

I also think I am going to pull the oil pan and weld in some baffles.

Still need to get it running.. but on upgrades I'm planning on a pump, 3" pipe, BB ecu and injectors.

I'll go halves on an 8 pack of injectors from summit. I'm also not sure which ones to get. Was thinking 72's or 95's? Seems there is no downside to going big. Poly bushings for the arms... do you even have to ask!

The only downside to going big on the injectors is idle quality. The bigger you go, the harder it becomes to get a small enough PW to properly idle the engine...

20% too large to get good performance and drivability? If I remember right I have 40% in the GLHS and it did seem fine.

I've never had trouble with the +20 or +40 injectors. But when you get to 72s and 95s or bigger, the idle PW is very close to the latency. Which makes it hard to get accurate fuel metering.

Would the 40's hurt fuel mileage much? Did not seem to on my GLHS

Hmmm. Well here is my plan as of today:

Fiberglass monocoque - oh wait...it already has that :)

Built Common Block by Slowe Speed - currently being built
T3 head with stage 1 cams - almost ready
Gt3076 R turbo - have in hand
External Wastegate - have in hand
3" stainless exhaust with quad exhaust tips
555 with Quaife
Purple 4 puck clutch - have
Lightened steel flywheel ( race version ) - have
Stock suspension
New polybushings
Possible Bilstein strut upgrade
Stainless steel brake lines
Convert to 5 x 120 lug pattern
Wheel upgrade - 16" BBS wheels are likely candidate
Or custom CCW wheels

Not decided:

Which brake setup
Rear wing or stock rear end look

turbo, injectors, exhaust, motul fluids, porterfield pads, r compound tires, alcantara door panels with porsche RS pull, corbeau harness, hexagon engine grills, sebring mirrors, lexan headlight/indicator panels, sem accent paint, air intakes in front valance, etc. I have also located a complete, fresh 2.2 engine that would drop in and immediately bump power to about 300.

Baller.

Tirerack has some of the z214 tires on closeout. I saw 205/50-16 and 225, 245, maybe a few other sizes too.

So who's done the +40 injectors, 3bar MAP and a new computer? I'm thinking about doing that for a Christmas present for me ;)

What would you all recommend?

shelgame, Do you have a cal setup for the Consuliers yet? with, let's say 16-18lbs that keeps cruise enabled?

Oh, Do all of the consulier's have the same computer setup SMEC or SBEC ? or are the later ones SBEC II ?

As far as I know, they're all SMEC. But, I'm no expert.

I'm doing a cal for Johnny now. The Consulier GTP cal is nearly identical to a stock T2. So, making a cal for one would be no problem...

Rob, Keep me in mind. The wife has already hinted at "permission" and without a resounding "NO!" she might as well have said "What are you waiting for?"

Johnny, Let me know how it behaves when it's done.
