Anybody know anything about MKIII supras?

My friend has a mkiii turbo supra. A few days ago we put a boost controller on it and now its knocking pretty bad my guess is rod bearing. Is there anyway you can drop the oil pan without taking the whole entire motor out? anybody have experince working on these cars it seems like it could be a pain.

If You Haven't already shearch for a site called Celica Supra.com There you find lots of info on Mk2,Mk3s I could be wrong but I think you can drop the pan,better to check that site before you turn a bolt!! I remember my 84 Mk2 handled great and was easy to work on have a good time!!
