View Full Version : Can anyone id these pistons for me?

I pulled the head off of one of my lancer and it had these pistons in it. Any idea what they are??

I think I remember Ross pistons looking like that. Nice find though.

Keith Black hypereutectic was the first thing I thought of. The piston was something they offered some time ago with that D shaped dish.

Thanks for the help. Not what I wanted to hear, looks like I need to find different pistons then.

Better than stock, just a bit sensitive to detonation due to the high silicon content when compared to a forged, but not a "bad" piston.

it lists on the site that they do offer them in a forged?

id run them, i like the quench design area for the swirl head... il buy them too if you remove them...

They do not make them in a forged unit. I called them years ago and asked. They say these are heat treated to T6 specs.
