Well, it hasn't been easy. Finally hit the road about noon. First stop was to fuel up before highway and when stopped found two fittings leaking. Was able to tighten a bit more but very nervously. Seemed dry.
Drove 201.7 miles, stopped fo a sub in VA and fueled up. Took 7.006 gals (that's 28.8mpg with a BoostButton cal meant for MeanMini, driving with cruise).
Found som wetness on one fitting that was one tightened at the initial fillup but it looked weird. Like maybe some redidual mixed with the neversieze I lubricated the threads with to get the compressimon fitting tight. So we didn't mess with it.

We are now in WV on I-77 in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mtns.
My brother Dan is having a turn at the wheel. (That might be the motivation he needs to rebuild or build a new Shadow turbo. ;)
Or a Spirit R/T 8v).

Wish us luck! Prayers might not hurt either!! :D45608

Well that was premature, it wasn't entering Ohio like I thought the sign said Kentucky! I missed signalling a turn when I was navigator. stayed on I64 too long and missed US35. Ugh.
Got back on track, and we made it to the host hotel.
Tired and need some food ! ;)
And drink. All we have is warm Yeungling right now!

Wayne, it was great seeing the Slugmobile in person. Hope the trip home was uneventful.

Thanks Gary. I'm glad she was able to come together enough to make the trip. I just wish I had more preparation time to get some things worked out and get her back to her potential.
Hopefully next year.

Well as of last night we were! But it was to come back home.

She made it to SDAC, drove all around when there. And did some runs at the drags to get some testing and tuning done. And then she drove all the way home.
Didn't calculate the total trip miles, but should end up being about 1500-1600 miles. That means the new motor might now have about 1800-2000 miles on it now.
